Russ Kurpis was one of the most funpeple to hang out with, especially after smoking a jiont or two. We laughed until we cried so many times. It would be so great to see Russ again, if only...
I believe he passed a while ago but have no clue about the circumstances, where he lived or what he was doing at the time. If memory serves, he went to SUNY, New Paltz. Please contribute to this page if you have fond memories and/or information about Russel.
Rus passed a long time ago. He was a close friend and always ready to laugh or sing. I think he was living in Massachusetts at the time of his death. He was an artist.
I have too many Kurpo stories to relate here, but I will gladly go on and on about him at the reunion this spring.
I think of him often and alwyas will. I hope I was successful posting this old picture of him.
Russ lived in Jamaica Plain, just outside Boston. I was able to call him back around 1995 or so. A mutual friend gave me his number unfortunatly he wasn't very receptive to my call. From what I understand he had put on a lot of weight and was having difficulity walking. His parents were warm, unpretentious loving people. A little known fact, his Dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the December 7th attack. I've tried to contact his sister Christine without any luck. Rest in peace Russ.
